Thisis depressing. EOFF has fallen downhill with retrospect to it's contents, I mean the threads are awful. Less members seem to be active, new arrivals can't even spell the simplest of words without sounding like imbeciles. Look at the role playing threads; they're literally full of crap these days, and have no creative substance in them anymore like they used to. Eurggghh, I reckon EOFF seriously needs to make some improvments cause it's getting worst every year.

Instead of all this community crap you guys could also just realize that it's not only EoFF that has been going downhill, but the entire FF-series. I mean cm'on, like there has even been a good one made since FFX, and that one was only so-so.
The truth is that we don't get any good newbies anymore, because smart intelligent people don't play that offline MMORPG crap Square has been putting out lately.
The old-timers that started it all with FF1-6 are either admin, CK, site staff or gone and the jolly rest of us is living off the ps1 generation.

Actually, the Event Committee has a grand total of one thing organized and submitted so far.

Considering how long EoFF has been around, I've not been the most active of people. Was banned for like 4 years aye, that was a thing, but, I've been back for 7 and barely posted since. I keep telling myself I should fix that but I never get round to it, I kinda feel bad about it because I really do like this place. If I put some effort into it I could easily be a lot more active, so I say but honestly I just get distracted easily, I end up browsing Facebook or something. 13-14 years ago or so when I was most active this was one of the only sites I really visited at all and would spend all day after school on here. TWAS A SIMPLER TIME.

I'm thinking this is a thing that happens every 4 or 5 years now. When I was around actively - perhaps about 2005 to 2007? - I started thinking the same thing. Stop coming on as much, I was into Mabinogi at the time... Now I found this place, surprised at the fact that it's still around because it's been 13 years since my initial join date. I still remember the brown background and the header of mostly FF7 characters. One of my friends would constantly get banned and other friends of mine would just be silly in the usernotes... *sighs* Good times. :love:
That brown background is still accessible if you choose your forum skin as Aeris Reborn in the bottom left corner. It looks pretty horrible on widescreen monitors now though!Quote:
