I was raised on sci-fi. I read Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy when I was 6, and I haven't looked back. Sci-fi just has a way of addressing deep ideas and the human experience which, for me, fantasy just doesn't.
Science Fiction for me as well, though I tend to prefer Sci-Fi that has more concrete foundations and deals more with speculative science than ones that can easily fall into Clarke's Third Law which is where I get really pissy when I'm reading a good fantasy story that gets hijacked by aliens. I find that fantasy is more about escapism whereas sci-fi tends to deal more with possibilities for mankind.
Fantasy, if I have to choose. But Sci-fi is pretty awesome too.
