Can you name 5 iconic characters for EACH console?

I can't. Thus the purpose of this thread is to make you do it.

Obvious icons of past platforms include Mario or Link for Nintendo and Sonic for Sega. And maybe also Raiden. Perhaps less obvious would be Pacman or Clyde for Atari.

Possibly, Capcom icons like Megaman or Ken/Ryu or M. Bison can qualify as NES icons.

We've got Master Chief for XBOX and I don't much else about that console. Maybe GLaDOS for 360.

I don't want to mention PS1 'cause I'll just start listing FF7 characters... and Squall. PS2 would probably be Sora and Riku or Dante from DMC.

Anyway, let's put our heads together and find these iconic icons.

Atari: ET if he counts as he's a iconic part of the American game crash way back in the '80s. Or Pac Man even though he was more famous in the arcade.

Nintendo : Link or Mario, or even Samus.

Sega : Sonic or the original mascot but usually forgotten about Alex the Kid.

Playstation: Lara Croft ? Crash Bandicoot ? Kratos ? Spyro ? Cloud ? Snake ?

Xbox : Master Chief.

Atari - Can't. Pacman is all I've got.

NES - Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Megaman, Simon Belmont, Samus, yeah, I can definitely do NES

SNES - Most of the ones I mentioned for NES work here.

PSX - Crash Bandicoot, Lara Croft, Parappa, maybe Solid Snake, maybe Cloud could even count. I don't know.

I mean, I believe definitely Cloud and Sephiroth are inescapable PlayStation icons.

Samus is a good pick for NES.

Lara Croft, yes. And I completely forgot about Crash Bandicoot. One of the first games available at launch. Not my kind of game though really.

PS4: Nathan Drake, Kratos, Aloy, Ellie, Cloud

Xbox One: Master Chief, Kait (Gears 5), Cuphead, A car in Forza Horizon 3, A car in Forza Horizon 4

Switch: Mario, Link, Rex (XC2), Squidling, Teacher (FE:TH)

Nintendo: Mario, Link, Zelda, Samus Aran, and Donkey Kong.

Sega: Sonic, Ryo, Ulala, Alis, and Toejam and Earl.

PlayStation: Crash Bandicoot, Spryro Dragon, Jax, Clank, and Sly Cooper.

Microsoft: Master Chief, Marcus Fenix, Blinx, Kaim, and Shu
