Not that there was ever any doubt that it would be, but GoT has officially been renewed for its fourth season. And there was much rejoicing.

I liked seeing Julius Caesar in this episode. I don't keep up with GoT news so I had no idea he was joining the cast.
Yeah.
The first time I watched the episode I didn't care for him. The second time, he grew on me. I think I just pictured Mance Rayder much younger.
A friend linked this to me. XD
A recap of S3E1... Facebook style.
Yeah, and don't really think this is a spoiler, but just to be safe, in the bookwasn't Mance playing a harp/lute/whatever when John met him? Cos John just thought he was some guy playing music. I liked that sort of whimsy.
Aye, I don't think Caesar has much whimsy in him, but he absolutely has an air of effortless authority. Dude's got presence, yo.
Also, "Book and late Season 3 spoilerI can't wait to see how they handle the Red Wedding. I, like Bunny, don't think it'll get a huge amount of coverage, which is good. It should happen just like it happened in the books: suddenly and shockingly. And then it's over.
Late book/season 3 Yeah, and that would make the season final (given that it is--hopefully) even that much more OMG WTF JUST HAPPENED???? And reddit will go wild.
(SPOILER)Indeed. I think the impact of it would be kind of ruined if there was any dramatic stand-off/final battle feel to it.
(SPOILER)Now, I wonder if they'd technically end it at Arya getting an axe to the head. And since all of the scene before/during it has this going on, people would probably think she did die. Hm. It would have to be super fast as not to ruin the effect.
(SPOILER)Oh man, they should make it a tradition to end every series with Arya maybe getting killed. xD
(SPOILER)I didn't realize they'd done that with any others? xD
