Positive feedback.
First relaxing day at work in weeks, and a nice glass of wine.
5 days off work! Last day today, and I'm going to make homemade mac & cheese for dinner. Yum yum.
Finally got a call back about the abuse counsel line. They're going to send me my application in the mail and I will train in May!
I got told that my application for promotion has been accepted and that I now have an interview for the position :D
My hand.
Cupcakes and The Cure! :jess:
Nachos (Thanks Del!), wine (Thanks Spuuky!), a new episode of Arrow, my brother doing genealogy research and finding some interesting stuff, I have the first part of a job interview on Friday and tomorrow I will be spending my evening giving out brand new books to strangers!
Volunteered at a writing festival and enjoyed a funny presentation from an author, hilarious condensed performances of both Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet, and watching students participate in an acting masterclass. And I get to volunteer again tomorrow! :jess:
Edit: Also I had a reply from Nick Earls and a favourite from Terry Whidborne on Twitter today about writing and whatnot. That's some pretty awesome networking right there.
2 courses for £10.95 at Strada tonight... yes please :D

Found out that I was eligible for PIP (Personal Independence Payment) and I'm the first one in my entire town that has been awarded I will get a minimum of £54.45 extra per week ^^ (and its going to be backdated to March 17th).
They say it will take up about 2 months to process the payment so by the time I get it I will have a lump sum of £762.30 by the time the claim goes through.
The maintenance man came and tested/installed my chin-up bar, so I'm able to use it again! It traditionally gets a lot of use while I'm either cooking or thinking about what words to use in a story. I'm not certain whether it will make my shoulder better or worse, so I might as least stretch it before I go to a physio.
I checked my work email, and a manager emailed me to say that they personally recommended me for a very competitive, lucrative role. I'm pretty touched, given that we've never really worked together and I certainly didn't ask them to vouch for me!
I made my first foray into gluten free vegan baking and it was great! My favourite coffee shop in town makes these amazing muffins and it hadn't occurred to me to try replicate them (gluten free baking seems expensive and intimidating to me), but I was flicking through a cookbook that is a collection of submissions by local restaurants, and the muffin recipe was included!
Veruca Salt announced a show at what is probably now my favourite Seattle venue!
I'm officially enrolled in grad school!
