It is possible to use a stamina or mana tablet/spring, though the amount of the HP shown does not alter, you still have 199998HP to toy about with. Honestly. I did it myself!

Try using stamina and mana tablets or springs. Or simply get Break HP limit (i forgot what you need now!) to go to 99999 HP. I then used Stamina tabs, doubling that to 199998HP. And defeated Penance!...
