I was just curious as to when the game was released in the U.S. Some sites say 9/7/99 while I'm sure it was 9/9/99. In anycase the game just or will turn 9 years old. Anybody remember for sure?

I just beat the game for the second time about 2 weeks ago and I remember I had no issue geting the solomon ring after the space station. Its just laying around at tears point.

FFVIII's sound track is amazing, the best imo. The soundtrack is a big reason this game "feels right" in terms of the atmosphere. The story line as well as the characters are huge parts of that but...
