And people say Lewis Caroll was dodgy.
That's... interesting :D
Uhh... this is actually the start of the third chapter, I decided against posting the first two since they were... terrible, really. If anyone's interested I'll put them up.
Much of the story's...
I've had a webcomic project tentativley titled "FreakOut" on the backburners for some time now which deals with two characters who end up on a flying island called Laputa. I posted an early version...
Why have only two people mentioned the touch sensitive screen?
I'm not entirely sure what Nintendo's going to do with it, but you can't deny it has potential.
My favourite's the one with Penpen. Penguins are just awesome.
Us girly guys rule, thank you very much :D
In FFTA Ultima (along wiht Addremelech) was a summonable monsters. She wasn't actually classed as summons, and was subject to different rules to "proper" summons, but she was close enough.
Ah, I get it.
'Course, I'm not sure how a gold pin cures someone turned to stone. Guess it's some kind of mythological reference.
'Course, the msot unfortunate enemy translation has got to be in the FF2 translated ROM, where Red Soul is... R.Soul.
Oh dear.

I think the monsters came off worst in FF5. Y Burn for Wyvern? FerryWalk for Fairy Orc? Oh dear...
I love the texture on Daisy's hair, but Peach's doesn't stand out as much. I say it could've done with some darker shades in there to bring out the texture.
Chapter 2, page 1:
(although I had minimal input into this chapter...)
And now for something completely different..
(this one might even compete with Angry Daddy!)
I like the first one, you've got the stylised, exaggerated foreshortning down without it being too OTT.
edit: the artist I worked with has declined to be named.
Thanks again. No, there aren't any giant robots.
Thing is, when I posted a rough draft of another comic's story on a board, everyone pretty much tore it to pieces looking for the tinyiest hint of...
Okay, thanks for the replies. Here are a few differences I've noticed, might be enough to cover me up:
-The actual war between aliens and humans is happening in the background, the main characters...
edit: ignore, kind of outdated now.
But Square's character designers would have had have learnt about the monsters from books, and this could have been one of them if it was translated into Japanese. A lot of these names aren't the...
I think I've found one of Square's primary sources for FF3j's monsters: The Book of Imaginary Beings by Jorge Luis Borges. Both the book and game contain the following monsters (not counting the oens...
Ehh, sorry, been a while since I've seen either of 'em.
