Now that I think of it, every FF I have played follows one of two storylines.

1. Salvage the crystals and defeat a great evil.
2. Rebel against the empire.

FF 15 should get something more...

I used to think the same way, which is one reason I was turned off by FF7. Now that I think of it, I enjoyed playing FF7.

I guess what is so great about the series is each game is a bit different...

I would tend to agree with Sagenysd. I don't know how many kids I've seen in public with a GBA or a GBA SP. And yes, 90% of them seem to be playing Pokemon.

Same here. The NES version of this game is the first Final Fantasy I played. It's too bad newer versions don't include maps, bestiary, and a list of all weapons, armor, and spells like the NES...

Actually, that's one reason the original is one of my favorites in the series.

As a fan of magic users, I gotta go with the black mage. I remember hearing one guy who is a huge fan of this game claim that a level 50 black mage can beat the game by himself.

Probably because the load times are so horrible.

The GBA version, from what I've played, is pretty good. Sure, they took out a few minor things, but it's still good enough.

Don't know about DOS, but I don't think the Ninja in the original NES version is good enough to warrant lugging around the Thief for half the game.
