Take out the black mage and put in a Black Belt, Ninja, or Dragoon.

The DS version is better to play rather than the original but, you can try out the original if you want.

Summoners could only use High Summons so, I don't know why Sages need the Low summons too.

Oh I see that you're playing the NES version. In the DS version They seem underpowered.

So, a theif would have higher agility and a Knight would have a higher strength and vitality.

They also gave names to the FF3 Denizens.

The game is well enjoyable with the many jobs =D

I think Job lvls increase your accuracy and such.

Well, the feathers are a bit annoying though.

There are more equipment that you could find inside the previous dungeons and in the lava one also. Did you search the dungeons thoroughly enough?
