Could be a D&D reference, considering how much FF1 rips off from it. I don't recall anything about mad ponies in D&D, though.
It's hard to pick out a least favorite since they're all designed to be incredibly tedious.
Firion - Knives and white magic
Maria - Staves and black magic
Guy - No magic, swords and shields only, final destination.
Leon - Keep him the way he is, he comes in too late to really customize...
"Guy speak beaver."
In the older versions, I only use a handful of good spells like the elemental trio. Leveling magic just takes too long. I am more liberal with my magic use in the remakes, though.
I just saw the whole thing as him cutting a deal with the Emperor to use his talents for their cause, and once the Emperor croaked, he felt that he could try taking power for himself. I don't think...
I think it's the weakest, but I still like it. I do think it has a bad rap, but the mechanics really are kinda wonky, the world map is weirdly designed, and the plot isn't really captivating in this...
I like how the plot is non-existent. That's not sarcasm, it's nice to play a game that just gets to the point. I also like all the different party combinations you can have.
In the older versions I tend to use a mixture of Fighters and Red Mages, but in the newer versions I go for something more balanced, like Warrior/Monk/White Mage/Black Mage.
It was most likely accidental in the original version but it being in the later editions is intentional. I use it to grind whenever if I need it, especially if I have a lot of mages in my team.
I'd probably used 2 Fighters and 2 Red Mages too. 2 characters who can cast LIFE is pretty nifty.
Fighter/Red Mage tends to be in almost all of my parties these days. They're the best class in the older editions and they both have pretty cool designs; just can't beat communist red. Black Belt...
Edit: Well dang. I keep on putting the lines back in but it keeps on clumping up...
Double Edit: Fixed! Thanks for the advice, Angus.
I try to avoid it unless I'm trying speedruns/challenges.
This FAQ was out of date so I updated it to be more accurate and specific about things. Problem is, whenever I try to edit it, all the text just clumps together and it looks awful. How do I fix it?
I did it in the GBA version, and even beat the Soul of Chaos dungeons with it, which turned out to be a horrifyingly bad idea because you need a White Wizard to beat those dungeons without...
Since he's talking about the GBA version, I'd say Warrior/Thief/White Mage/Black Mage would be the best. It's ridiculously difficult trying to beat the Soul of Chaos dungeons without lots of healing,...
It was made offical I see.

1. What is the differences between all the versions? Which one should I play?
I'm not gonna get too specific,...

Is it possible/easy to beat FF2NES without stopping and grinding/using the select + cancel/change trick?
These are more nerdier than Zelda timeline debates
And that is saying a lot
