It's a matter of getting older.
On button mashers, you've got 5 (or 15 in my case :) ) years more experience..
In RPG's, you're probably a little more patient and a bit more planning.
I...
Put her in the back row.
Equip her with a Rod.
When in battle, 'Use' the Rod against an enemy.... don't "attack", but 'use' it.
It'll do ~30pts of damage.
I typically stuck with ICE...
reason to like him as a darknut ? easy... when he gets his final dark sword (not the last sword a darknut can equip, but his last 'black' sword).... enemies he hits that still have hitpoints...
re: hit count / hit % / etc
... I've tried to find a reasonable explanation to this, but lack one. I don't recall if it's lv10 or lv11 when the BB starts getting 4 hits instead of 2... if it's...
Oh, and something i'm not quite sure about...
Difference between theif and bb and wm games...
The BB seems to have an enomormous damage potential... I wonder what the theif gets (with his +18...
lv28 now....
spent a lvl or two at the gargies in the temple of fiends..
did some time in the giant hall (5 levels ?) of the earth cave...

LV 16...
Astos was pretty easy ... beat him on the first attempt, lasted around 6 rounds. First attack he did was a rub, looking attack, at least it missed :).
The marsh cave... well... my...
7 hours into it... lv 14... and I'll admit to finding the BB to be a slightly more interesting class than I had previously thought.
I'm about to make a run into the marsh cave... everything top...
re: Unne
Hehehe.. I'm well aware of his stance on BB's ... to be honest, I don't particularly care for them either. It's like playing D&D without taking any feats and just rolling the dice...
Greetings people...
I recently came across a FF Origins disc and decided to see if it could stand up against the FF1 I so loved as a xmas present shortly after it originally came out..
So I've...
Do you enjoy mashing a couple buttons and then watching a sequence of scripted events take place ? Perhaps even having a choice or two while said events take place ?
If so, then you'd lean more...
Classic games, especially RPG's typically fall into two groups... that are very similar to casino games.
1) the people who play it for the flashy lights and graphics and stuff.
2) the people...
ff3 - either the theif or sage. haven't experimented with the different jobs a whole lot.
ff6 - terra without a doubt.
After playing the DW1, and the original FF1 carts and a couple other RPG's (ultima:exodus, etc)....
FF4 wasn't terribly difficult. I don't see why anyone would ever want to play it in an 'easy'...
The only two times I remember having difficulties with FF1 was in the Ice Cave and in the final temple. Everything just seemed to rock my world there... even at level 32 or so I had a rough time.

ff3j nes rom is most definately a triumph for the original NES. By far a very impressive title for such a limited console.

I bought 1 when it came out.
Thank god I had the FF Strategy Guide from NP.... else I woulda been severely frustrated with the game.
Being limited to a tiny number of items that you could carry...
I ran across this site after doing a google on ff3 walkthrough (some of the items/weaponry dont make alot of sense), been only around the site for a couple days ... generally avoiding the forums.
...
There's an area in FF3J that's not listed in the walkthrough.
In the Salonia Catacombs, in the third basement (just before getting to the floor that has Odin), there's a 90 degree bend to the left...
