I can definately agree with that concept. ;)
I wouldn't necessarily say "all I'm looking for" but using it more as a measuring stick. I'm into games that have story as well as a similar gameplay style to FF. I have X-Men and Baldur's Gate games...
Pretty much the only type of games I play are RPG, with my favorite (and my personal measuring stick) being the Final Fantasy series. I have the Xenosaga series which I enjoyed as well. I might be...
I decided to put it on hold for now. Don't want to get burn out, and want to go back and replay some of the earlier FF games.
FFXII was the first one where I didn't do that. It wasn't necessarily purposeful, either. I was doing side quests in order to increase strength as I went along, not to become overpowered, but to try...
New Game + ? I am assuming it meant you can carry items from a previous game into a new game. I had done something similar to that in another game series I had (Baldur's Gate), and that was fun. hehe...
I knew about Syphon but hadn't used it. Didn't think you could get all your MP back at one time, though.
I don't think it is a problem, just asking the point. There is something in between a casual player and a hard-core gamer as well, as I would fall in between. For me the gameplay and side quests are...
Syphon your MP back? Care to explain more?
I'm aware of the earlier save point, but there were some things I missed along the way, which is why I restarted. ;)
I do have a save point in Rabanastre, right before I went to the Bahamut, so I...
Seriously. What is the point of having optional bosses/quests that are more powerful than the end boss? This, of course, isn't limited to Final Fantasy XII, it exists in most of the series. I'm...
Nope, nothing but a blank screen. I just reset the game to start over after I completed the game.
I think I used Espers a couple times in the beginning. After that, I didn't see how beneficial they were to use. They didn't really offer much of a benefit beyond what my normal party could do. I'd...
I combined the deathgaze hunt with the seven sisters side quest. Figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. ;)
Sounds like a good plan. I had a pain of a time with defeating him. I always kept one of my team away from the others, so that at least one person was always unaffected by sleep or the white breath....
I started over after completing it as well, not as much for the story, but to try to complete the bestiary, hunts and sky pirate's den. Getting to see the story again is just an added bonus. ;)
Reddas was my favorite. That could also because I barely remember Vossler's contribution to the party, since I had him in my party sometime around January or February, and I just completed the game...
Completed the game last night. 130 hours and everyone was level 71. Awesome game with an awesome story. I loved the ending, how they tied everything up, the way a good story should be. I've played...
I don't remember what level I was when I defeated the judge. I remember the battle when quick from a good quickening chain that I was able to get. I was somewhere between 15th and 20th level, I think.
One thing I thought of about leveling, breaking a group apart, so you only have one person at a time, doesn't make much sense to me. Here's why:
Say you get 300XP for one monster when you have one...
Leveling up is essential. The battles only get harder from here, unless you have enough levels for your party. ;)
I figured I'm at a level where I could safely complete the game, I just want to venture into the side areas, where the monster levels are in the 60s, as well as try to complete every single hunt and...
Come on Vaan is SOOO the leader.
(That is sarcasm, folks. ;))
All the characters are a lot less defined than the characters in previous games, and the license board doesn't help that situation....
I try to raise my party evenly. I have a group of three, and once they level up, I switch to my other group of three.
Early in the game, I stayed in whatever area I was in as long as I could...
