2021: The Green Knight
Folklore stories operate on multiple levels, few more so than the many tales of the Knights of the Round Table. At first glance, the story is often simple. Something...
2020: Shadow in the Cloud
Unlike many of the films in my list, this one had a reception that might charitably be called "mixed". But, I found this romp to be the perfect anditote to the 2020...
2019: Parasite and Knives Out
Try as I might, in the end I couldn't pick between these two brilliant films.
Parasite and Knives Out explore similar themes of the dependencies created by wealth...
I haven't got around to it, but I mean to at some point.
I don't know if anybody other than me remembers that the original of this ever existed, but I remember, and that's the important part :colbert:
So, after a hiatus of over two years, I’m going to...
I haven't played any Monster Hunter games before, but what I've seen of Rise has me intrigued. Does it work as an entry-point for someone new to the franchise, or is it a "it will make more sense if...
I mean, someone’s GOT to say Kingdom Hearts, right? And no, I don’t particularly care for the overarching plot.
None of the above: radio comedies. Mostly panel shows and sketch shows.
X, mostly because of Shiva. Seriously funky hair.
Basically everything Wolf Kanno said, but I’m easy as far as gameplay goes. They could go turn-based, ATB or full action, if it’s well-executed I don’t mind which.
So, how did it take me until this year to realise that Janelle Monáe is the actual bomb?

I'm a country boy at heart, so it's got to be a small city for me. I like to visit big cities, but I could never see myself living in one.
I've definitely had tacos, I make them fairly regularly. Whether it's what YOU mean when you say "taco" though, I'm not sure.
Just give us the option to have a female protagonist, already! :grumble:
You're wrong, but we love you anyway. ;)[/QUOTE]
Controversial opinion: Days of Future Past and Apocalypse were a bit of a mess, but not that much more than Infinity War and Endgame. Plus, I much prefer these two films relatively subdued and...
I love the Citadel DLC, so glad you finally got around to it! The casino section is one sticks out in my memory, largely because of the funny one-liners you get in the walk-in scene.
This was a good moment for X-Men films, I was definitely pleasantly surprised by both First Class and The Wolverine.
Me watching the start of X-Men 3: Uhhh, Scott/Cyclops. He’s quite cute, I guess, but God, he’s so annoying.
Jean Gray: [snogs Scott/Cyclops, then immediately kills him]
Me: YAAAAAAS, B***H, WEEEERK!
It was actually pretty damn good! I went in expecting a hot mess, but it was actually a fully cohesive, engaging film which was consistently good throughout and had some really great moments.
I was actually having a really bad day that day, and unfairly took it out on a video game I was finding mildly frustrating. I picked it back up again two days later, and it's actually pretty great!...
This is the most frustrating game I've ever played. It was this close to being a great game, but the plotting just goes completely out of the window after a certain point. After the first "ending" -...
Catering, admin, sales, finance then admin again. My favourite job is the one I'm in now, because my coworkers are nice, the job's not very stressful, and it's a permanent contract. For right now,...
