hmmm... the hate i think you are talking about is how much hate a charatcter has, anything a player does to a monster draws hate. The trick is to keep hate on a "tank" type character, like a Paladin...

Personally after i did BLM to 75, i took DRG to 75, people just dont appreciate the flexibility of a DRG, you can get hate and lose it as needed. For instance, if you see that a PLD is about to die...
