I hate how it is only one zone though. They should have had the Candy in Whitegate and have the beastment attack both zones. It also diverse the 700 people across two zones.

S-E was lazy enough to add only one BC fight in the June update, but damn it is tough.

As of now (4 hours after maintenance ended) I'm 0/3 on it.

Yeah, unfortunately I started off playing FFXI on a desktop computer and was so used to the non-compact setup that when I got my laptop I needed that keypad.

Not exactly. FFI has the job system and the basic character creation system that FFXI took and evolved it from. FFI or FFV is the closest to single player FFXI that you will get because of the job...

Play FFI then if you want the single player FFXI experience.
