I find the Abstract themes to be more of a creative challenge, and usually more interesting than say "Kittens".

I've done mine already. This is much fun, although more fun to meet someone else's theme.

Unfortunately, I neglected to keep the original picture and saved the edited version instead, but I can take another picture or even a video if it'd help, but the mobs and brooms are actually those...

I suppose having the final voting day mid-month gives the winning photographer enough time to settle on his/her choice for next months theme.
And it would also leave time for a tie-breaker vote.
