Dependency and addiction are two completely different things.

I have no addictions, I just cannot get addicted to things. I've tried smoking, it didn't work. I quit cold turkey and with ease. Drinking was the same way. My personality is just not that addictive, I guess.

Dependency, however. Well, I am dependent on my girlfriend, but it is more of a symbiotic relationship, vice parasitic. Meaning we depend on each other, not one over the other. *shrug*
