Thread: Good places to level up?

Default Good places to level up?

Where is a good place on the map to gain a few levels for someone around level 20? I will check back at this forum and maybe ask again later for a new spot when I am at a higher level.

He's at level 20. That's a good place to level up, but right now, try advancing to Saronia and fight the fiends in the little forests that surround the districts of the city.

I always do that right before that battle against the bird thingy.
I change everyone to Dragoons and fight around in the forests until I can afford 8 Wind Spears.

Although it's more of a lower-level thing, I've had great luck levelling around lv 15 in the forest just outside the Tower of Owen; the bad guys there are stronger than the ones inside the Tower, so if you can fight a few of them without suffering a disaster, you can breeze through the tower.

(I waited until level 15 to set foot in the Tower of Owen. Easy shtuff thar)

Keep a white mage in there somewhere. I leveled up in there to level 24 I think. As soon as you're around 24-26, it's time to go fight.

eh, I had one dragoon, a black mage, a white mage, and a thief. Dragoon jumped, thief stole then attacked, white mage healed/used magic items, black mage cast spells. It was easy. Despite what people say, it isn't necessary to ever change classes. I never used a scholar, and I didn't change my fighters to mages when I went tiny.

Thank you; I'll try that area and see how that goes. I haven't touched the game in over a week so I have to get back into it....

Once you hit about 30-31 and you have the Nautilus and you can submerge it, go over to a little triangle island on the far eastern side of the map, and dive there. Go inside and you enter the underwater cave. All enemies there are levels 30-33, but they are really easy. You get between 1200 and 4500 experience per battle. And you level up about every 8 or 9, plus there is a crap load of equipment down there, just be sure to explore every little corner, and you'll be good.

Anyplace better than Bahamut's cave @ endgame? I'm not going to attempt the world of darkness again until lv 55, and that's a lot of grinding (presently lv 48)

Definitely the underwater cave!!! I'm trying to level up myself before hitting the World of Darkness and few trips up and down that cave is definitely worthwhile, not only are the experience points high, but the gil pay outs are pretty high also. Great Advice!!!:mog:
