Bond doesn't need to change his personality at all just because he would be portraited as gay.
And seriously, I highly doubt he'll fall in love with his enemy.

If he were to be gay in Goldeneye, he would still go around fighting with you-know-who on the antenna, because they were - enemies.

It's not really about changing, it's that the whole idea is very absurd and illogical, not to mention unneccesary.

Not only that but his statement is incorrect. Brokeback Mountain was a horrible movie in any sense, not because it involved a homosexual relationship, but it was praised as this amazing movie. And it just... sucked period.

But for Bond... it just wouldn't work, at all.
