Fran is a "Frantastic" name for a ff character, reminicent of the random ones Like Cecil and Rosa and Vincent. its classy, and it is different from all the other random Veira names much like she is different from all the veira. Before it seemed a plain name but her great beauty makes it a better name. Plus Balthier says it in a nice way in his posh accent, its like "Fran fran fran fran fran fran" is every other word for him, makes it sexy.
