How on earth do I catch a fish?

I got it attached to my hook but I just can't seem to reel it in. Line always snaps. I'm going to break something soon if I don't catch one. dfghjkxjfcgvhbjkjxfcgvhbn

An arrow should come up once a fish is on your line, you need to move the left analog stick in that dirrection to reduce the tension on the line. Doing that should stop the line from breaking so easy. And make sure the gauge doesnt go above 70% to be extra safe.

You just need practise though.

take my advice, just ignore the fishing function. In any game thats not focused fully on fishing, and it has a fishing fuction. Its just a stupid addon to make the game longer when overall its just a waste of time >=(

I loved all Dark Cloud 2's side quests, fishing included. You can get metals from fishing in order to unlock some of that bonus stuff from teh little dude.
