To get LionHeart on disc 1, what all is needed?

I have gotten the lionheart on disc 1 several times already (and posted about half a year ago how to do so); the earliest you can get the Lionheart is just after the Timber part, when you get off the train, but you can wait about another 15 min or so and get it after the Laguna dream #2, provided you have mug with diablos and your avr. pt lvl is about 30 (or 20 and you have way too much time on your hands). Here's an outline of the materials and how to get them on disc 1.

Dragon Fang x4 : you can easily get them from T-Rexaur either in the training center or in the forests outside blamb, they normally drop 6 of them (only lvl 20-29)


Adamantine x1 : This is pretty simple, you can either get this the painful way later in the game, or just after the the Timber part.

1. I say painful because you have to refine the minotaur card for 10 of them... not only does that waste a perfectly good card, you can also get it before this.

2. The way I prefer is to just kill the adamantoises outside od Dollet on the beach (it's near the forest where Mr. monkey is (I think)) and you'll most likely have some trouble if your lvls are somewhat low (I think 20-29 should drop them farely well, but I'm not too sure)


Pulse Ammo x12 : 2 ways to do this as well, first is the excruciatingly painful way, second is somewhat easier, especially if you like get your GFs to learn useful abilities... like mug.

1. The card way is, as mentioned before, consists of winning 20 Elnoyle cards, moding them into 2 energy crystals, and then moding those onto 20 Pulse Ammo, after about 5 hrs of playing cards, I only had about 12 so unless you have very good luck with people using them and you can stand playing Triple Triad for hours, this is not a method for you.

2. you'll need mug (Diablos...200AP) and an average lvl of over 20 (preferably 30+) with Squall, Selphie and Quistis; fight the Elastoids and mug them, remember that you need at least 3 Laser Canons. (I have actually also stolen a laser canon from one of those saw monsters (Belhemel) but the chance of getting one from them is too low)


You'll finally need 1200 gil... self explanatory.

you need: turtle shell x1, Star Fragment x2, Chef's knife x1

this is pretty straight forward and all you need is Quizacotle's Card and card mod abilities, card for getting some competitive cards, and and card mod to get the items:

Step 0.5: Get Card and Card mod

step 1: getting some good cards
have someone with card, and know how much a monster can take until it's low enough to be carded easily (use scan if you have to)
Target monsters:
Bite bugs These bugs will be carded into an Elvoret card (boss card) about 5% of the time, maybe a bit less;

Caterchipillar They will get carded into Trauma cards every now and then (another boss card!)

T-Rexaur if you feel like it, you can also get some T-Rexaur cards, and possibly get the rare Shumi Tribe card (another boss-lvl card!) but it's really not very necessary.

also, you can go back to garden and win some cards like MiniMog and Quistis, but that's just overkill and takes away form the fun... right?


Step 3: Getting the ingredients!


turtle shell x1 3 adamantoise cards are moded into one of these

Chef's Knife x1 1 Tonbery or tonbery king cards mods into one of these

Star Fragment x2 3 Iron giant cards into one of these, so you'll need to win 6 Iron Giant cards for 2.

The 8 screws that you also need are too easy to get from cards, you start with a gezard card (whatever it's called) and all you need is 1 more... everyone uses them, pretty much.

you'll also need 1000 gil, you start with 5000 so this really shouldn't be a problem

Note (Important!)
once you have met ALL requirements for any weapon (which does NOT include the weapons magazine) it will automatically be added to the menu in the ANY junk shop. That's how it works.

With the lionheart you'll be getting all Rensokuken finishing moves, and with the punishment you'll gain fated circle and Blasting Zone on top of Rough Divide.
