While the Cloud and Tifa paring is canon, people can - and will - believe what they wish. Yuffie and Cloud, Aerith and Cloud, Barret and Cloud, etcetera etcetera...

In the end, it ought to be perfectly alright to allow someone to think that Cloud and Aerith are somehow better together than the canon Tifa and Cloud pairing - it is their opinion. Although it does not follow the story as the writers wished it to be, they can still think that. It's similar to when you might disagree with a certain aspect of the story's development, and think of how it would be better if ______ happened instead. They are canonically incorrect, but as long as they do not abide in a gross delusion that they are in fact right, they are allowed to speak their mind.

And why are we now discussing others' English abilities? Throwing low, unrelated insults in this topic of discussion - which was more opinion based than that of canon correctness - is rather immature. But that is my opinion.

Cloud and Tifa are canon, but others are entitled to their opinions, and shouldn't be insulted past the fact that they are wrong.

They feel that Aerith may be better, and that's that.
