    What do you call those weapons that Amarant uses and Kiros would they be katars?

    Yeah, the Bradygames guide says Katal for Kiros. Don't know about Amarant though.

    Kiros' weapons are actually "katar"; someone probably saw "kataru" and thought "WTF is that? I know KATAL lol". I don't think the translator quite knew his/her stuff, as scanning Kiros reveals that "his fighting style is unique, just like his weapon". Um, not really...

    It's worth noting the French version got this right and called them "katar".


    Katar / Punch dagger

    Amarant's weapons are more like clawed gauntlets. They're definitely too small, plus he appears to be physically wearing them, not just carrying them like you would a katar.

    Does wikipedia know everything? they even put in FF referneces in there eventhough I don't see anything for Amarant there.
