    Default Favorite PAULO COELHO Works

I'm a big fan of this Brazilian novelist! His books are deep and provoking.

I haven't read all of them yet but here are my top three favorites in no significant order.

    1. The Alchemist (Of course!)
    2. Eleven Minutes
    3. Veronika Decides to Die

I've also read By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept and The Valkyries, but my least favorite so far will have to be the latter. I just don't like it.

    Currently reading The Zahir.

I'm still yet to read The Pilgrimage, The Fifth Mountain (which I gave to my sister for Christmas) and The Devil and Miss Prym.

I'm not interested in buying Warrior of Light: A Manual and Like the Flowing River. :mog:

    hihi!

I met him in Brazil before he was famous. And before he went on his Alchemists pilgrimage.

He has always been fascinating but also as batty as they come. He was in a "vampire" phase and only dressed in black and went out at night when I met him.

I guess he improved after that, the Alchemist is a great book

Wow! You've actually met him?! Sweet! I haven't met or even seen a foreign artist yet. It sucks living in a third-world country.

His insights are deeper than down-to-earth. It's hard to imagine what he experiences in order to achieve them.

And I'm kinda curious about the road to Santiago pilgrimage. And thanks to him I learn a lot of geography.

The books of his Ive read are alright.

The Alchemist is good, Veronica decides to Die is alright and Warrior of Light: A manual is boring.

Not really a fan of him, but hes quite good.

I've only ever read "The Alchemist", and I swear this book drove me nuts. I started seeing omens everywhere -- but it was still a very lovely book. I have heard much about "Veronika Decides to Die" but I haven't read it. Yet. And yet I think I agree.

Well, my country The Philippines is a third-world country too. No discernible individuals but the infamous 70's dictator Ferdinand Marcos who won the Guiness World Record of having the largest amount of money stolen. And now Pacquioa is the new mascot. Pssh.

    Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

The Alchemist was this author's first book. It describes his pilgrimage through Spain retracing the steps of one of the Bible saints, and the author tells us about his philosophy and his mystical experiences during the trip. Very New Age and a good read for people who enjoy this kind of stuff.
