Do advertisements work on you and convince you to buy the product they're advertising?
Personally, advertisements don't work on me most of the time.

They influence EVERYONE in some way.
Depends on how they sell it. It could work, or discourage me greatly.
Usually, I'll only get encouraged for the things I already want, and show indifference to the others.
Some advertisements make me despise the product. Not exactly the effect advertisers are looking for.
Some marketing stuff obviously work on me. Take Apple. They market the hell out of their stuff. But that doesn't mean their commercials work on me. Their commercials bug the hell out of me. But the way they present their products is superb.
Adverts have a major effect on me
They might make me aware of a product I didn't know about, but they won't make me buy it unless I would have wanted it anyways.
EoFF can ram the Iron Man movie down my throat all it wants and I'm still not watching it.
No effect at all.
Sure, some advertisements have an effect on me. Sometimes I'm actually made aware of a product that seems appealing that I didn't know about before, and sometimes I'm completely turned off the product that's being advertised. Depends on the quality and design of the advertisement, really.
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
Money, power, sex... and elephants.

some do, some don't....most of the time the advertisement itself is not what convinces me to buy a service or product, it's the service or product itself
They influence just how much laughter I produce per day.
I avoid situations where I'm exposed to ads. Ad blocker in Firefox + no TV + never listening to the radio = not many ads in my life, relatively speaking. I'd like to think they don't "work" on me, but they probably do subconsciously somehow.
Exactly. Might not be to buy their products and stuff, but they do affect us. I mean if you think about it, we are bombarded with plenty of ads each day. Everywhere you look there are ads.
EDIT: The exception is if you live in the middle of nowhere, without electricity and no human contact.
