where/how do i get and how good is it? what do u get for giving those hunters all the trophys from rare monster? does it matter which one/s u give them to?

The ribbon is generally regarded as one of the best accessories in the series. It nullifies all negative status effects. I can't answer the rest of your questions unfortunately, since I am not that far into the game.

There is one in Henne Mines, one in Pharos of Ridorana, a random treasure in Cerobi Steppe cares one (Diamond Armlet equipped). Vishno drops it as a rare item. Level 99 Red Chocobo in Ozmone Plains drops one after killing a certain number of Chocobos.

I'm curious, by which method did anyone who has actually gotten a ribbon get it? I don't personally know anyone who has managed to get one.

Ok, I just looked at that guide...I've looked at it before but it is confusing- do you have to have the diamond armlet equipped to obtain it from the treasure chest in the Henne mines? They didn't specify. I would think you do, but maybe they mixed it up and want you not to equip it in order to get the best treasure...

I got my ribbon from the Pharos (subterra) without having the diamond armlet.

It just takes some time to get that certain treasure coffer to appear doesn't it?

The trophies let you buy stuff at the two guys slacking off by a pile of wood near the shed.

Haven't bought anything "marvelous" there but got some good stuff to sell for more later.

After you get one or two trophies sold talk to the guy at the highest tier on Archades. He is the club owner and he will give you some good loot.
