    The angel statue above the Seventh Heaven Inn is seen many times through out the movie. What does it mean? What does it symbolize? This thread is for everyone to discuss it's meaning.

    Note: Please do not say it represents Aerith. It doesn't. She's represented elsewhere, so it's not her. Thank you.

    I'm guessing it's a symbol for Cetra, like a religion. Aeris is involved because she was the last descendant of the era, I think.

    It probably reprent (SPOILER)Goddess Minerva, considering the fact that after Genesis is defeated, she came out from a statue that remembers "the Angel".

    Protip: The Japanese like to throw random Judeo-Christian imagery and other mythological references into everything. Most of the time they mean absolutely nothing and are just there to look pretty.
