1. I'm not saying anything about after-the-fact."
2. Maybe I am complaining. A ship call Highwind V5 is acceptable to me. An attack called Dragon Dive V13 isn't. Or whatever else you might call it while adding a version number. It's just lame.I like it.
Jack: How do you know?
Will: It's more of a feeling really.
Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?
Will: No.
If Demolition Man were remade today
Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
Huxley: NO!
Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
Spartan: But Huxley.
Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.
By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
I know everything there is to know about the swords, thank you, I was asking why he needs to keep switching between during his singular assault on Sephiroth during the V5. The whole idea just strikes me as lame and unnecessary.
Maybe if he had separated his sword to startle Sephiroth (which he did and I suspect it was the original purpose) and started recompiling his sword, that I could understand. But switching between every last sword in his arsenal for no reason just confounds me.

Like I said before, some swords are just better suited for certain things. The switchblades are easy to get swords that provide the wielder with another weapon quickly. However, it is small, where the impact blade would be more useful as it is longer. The two serrated blades are used if damage is what you really want, or if you need to disarm your enemy. Every piece of the whole assembled sword is made to be better in certain situations. With each piece that is connected, the sword becomes better. When the sword is complete, the weapon is at it's maximum best, if you will, and is more powerful than any minisword individually. And like you said, this entire aspect of the sword itself gives the wielder the advantadge of surprise, as no one would expect such a thing, and it provides many sword to be used when needed.I know everything there is to know about the swords, thank you, I was asking why he needs to keep switching between during his singular assault on Sephiroth during the V5. BUT ... WHY ... DOES HE ... SWITCH ... BETWEEN ... ALL ... SIX ... FREAKIN' SWORDS ... DURING ... THE V5????
HE'S ... ATTACKING ... THE SAME ... DAMNED ENEMY REPEATEDLY ... THERE IS NO CHANGE IN SITUATION. THERE IS NO NEED TO SWITCH HIS DAMN WEAPONS. SO WHY ... DOES HE ... DO IT?

My theory would be because they thought it looked cool. (which it does) I really can't think of an actual logical reason. :rolleyes2
Oh, and a bit of friendly advice for OneWingedAngelSephiroth91- don't double/triple post. Use x-quote if you want to quote multiple people.
The sword is naught but one giant, badass, Swiss Army Knife.
That pic in Twilight Edge's first post (that shows the swords)... is that Korean?
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
Opening Credits: To those who loved this world... and knew friendly company therein: This reunion is for you.
Sephiroth: On your knees. I want you to beg for forgiveness.
Sephiroth: Your geostigma is gone... That's too bad.
Cloud: Sephiroth, what do you want?
Sephiroth: The last thoughts of Geostigma's dead... those remnants will join the lifestream and circle the planet; choking it; corroding it. What I want, Cloud, is to sail the cosmos with this planet as a vessel. Just as Mother did long ago. then one day we'll find a new planet and on it's soil we'll create a shining future.
Cloud: What about this planet?
Sephiroth: Well... That's up to you, Cloud.
Cloud: Stay where you belong; in my memories!
Sephiroth: I will... never be a memory!
Sephiroth: Tell me what you cherish most. Give me the pleasure of taking it away.
Cloud: You just don't get it. There isn't a thing I don't cherish!
Sephiroth: [amused] Oh! Where did you find *this* strength?
Cloud: I'm not about to tell you.
[slams Sephiroth out of the building]
