wdf is up with my DS...?

i've had problems with my DS and trying to play ff3
when i put it in the game in the DS and turn on the DS sometimes the DS doesnt register the game is in. sometimes it freezes and sometimes it works. Then when i try to connect to the Mognet to say add some friends, even when i put in the correct code it says "There is an error in the friend code you entered." and then when i try to send mail to a "faraway friend" it says "Communication error. You have been disconnected from Nintendo Wi-fi Connection. Please try again. For help, visit www.nintendowifi.com.

Error Number:10010" so i visit www.nintendowifi.com, type in my error number and it says Error Number 10000-19999

There's a problem with your DS send it in for fixing

so now im wondering if its just my ff3 being moronic or if my DS is actually busted. also at what stage in the game is Mognet enabled, cuz im thinking that could be the cause of the stupidity. ty

Just because something is new doesn't mean its going to work. It can either be defected in the factory, damaged during shipping, or something to do with faulty hardware.
