    Default Gilgamesh... should I

Should i fight Gilgamesh. My main party is

    Vaan Zodiac Spear 5500-6500 damage
Ashe Katana that causes poison 1500-2000 damage(I think)
Balthier Perseus bow parallel arrows 1000-2000 damage(I think)

Ashe uses mystic, Vaan heavy, and Balthier light

Vaan uses pure attacking and thats about it so I use no gambits
Ashe is my main mage and heals people but i should put buffs on her gambits
Balthier is my back-up mage and ranger, also no buffs but i should add them

They are all around level 52
Second party only good enough to heal main party
I know to take the dog out first

The reason i am unsure about some damages is I havent played for around a week

    Easily.

I beat him at level 45. Go for it. Just take plenty of phoenix down because the undead on sector 11 gang up on you. You may beat Gilgamesh only to get your party pwned by a mob of skeletons before you reach a gate crystal (as it happened with me )

Just make sure your party is protected against Disable and Sleep (I think it's Lv. 3 Disable and Lv. 2 Sleep, but I could be and probably am wrong).

    beat him!!!!!!

I only used my main party and i only had to replenish bubble on baltheir(but i didnt beat him that fast!)

Bubble and protect at the beginning was great. Saved it after i put them on.

It was a really fun battle

I am Level 68 for the main party and beat it with no sweat. I dunno why but everytime he casts Disable and Sleep, it misses me.

last but not least, enjoy the video when u defeated him. I like it very much

i beat the first incarnation at 50, but got schooled by the second battle and second area you have to go through to get to him....how high a level should be to try it again??? got the genji gloves and shield tho, so thats cool.

50 should be enough but you need to have full inventory on potions and some fast healing gambits.

For as long as the battle was (I was trying to steal all the Genji items), the journey OUT of the mines was far more perilous. Just be sure you can make it out.

Don't stroll around, get to a gate crystal ASAP.

But also don't try to run through there.
You'll get ganged up on pretty quick and die. The only way I found to get back out was to do like I did coming in.. nice and slowly killing each skeleton/bat, waiting for pathing for them to be alone and pulling them far back, killing them one by one.
