Thread: 1 week to go!

I'm really scared that it might lag and suffer from bugs like FFIV Advance did. The thing is that I look so forward to this re-release so I don't want it to be sloppy.

No such thing in FFVA. I would think they continued that trend.

Weird because FFIV-FVI and CT on the PSX all had increasing load times.

    FFIV - decent - 1.00 MB
    FFV - bad - 2.50 MB
    FFVI - really bad - 3.00 MB
    Chrono Trigger - worst - 4.00 MB

If any has the roms and PSX versions he/she would notice that the load times were proportional to the rom size. FFIV being the smallest rom had the shortest load times while Chrono Trigger being the largest of the roms was almost completely intolerable. Funny how in the GBA releases as they went up in the FF ports the load times went down.

There are no load times with cartridges.

Yeah there is. The only thing is that they are relatively short. The GBA has a little over 256 KB of memory. The FF Advance games are all 8 Megs and above. Obviously the GBA can't store all that at once so it loads a certain amount at a time.

    Let's discuss these:

Adventurer class is cool and all, but those accessory names make me sad. Soul of Thamasa?

Soul of Thamasa was the name of an accessory in Final Fantasy X-2.

Yeah. It gave Magic Booster status (2x MP cost for 1.5 times potency). In VI, it lets you doublecast.

I assumed it was the Memento Ring, as Relm and Shadow are the "Soul of Thamasa" in a way.

And seeing these few screen captures are making me salivate more and more...

The Memento Ring is there, though. :P
