I would never forget my glasses, I can hardly see anything without them, even if I go really close to whatever I'm trying to squint at. I probably wouldn't be able to use the computer at all. I've tested my vision, and I can only see my finger clearly mere centimeters away from my face.

For several years, I didn't have glasses, but eventually I finally realized why I was struggling to see far-away objects and got a prerscription (my eyes had weakened gradually and at first I thought I was just experiencing normal visual limitations). Years ago, when my eyes first were just starting to weaken, I was short-sighted, and I could see quite a bit if it was close up enough, but now I don't think I can even fit that description anymore, because I can't really see anything with clarity at all if it's not, as I said, a few centimeters away.

It's quite an amazing transition, considering that for quite a while I didn't need glasses at all. I suppose I went through at least ten different prescriptions as my eyes weakened.
