Honestly you need to just see it for what it is. Mostly comedy with some talent show thrown in. Ego Trip's intent is to play on stereotypes so literally that they become ridiculous. If anything, it's a statement to turn away from thinking so ignorantly. Once again, it's satire.

That same vein of thinking would suggest Jon Stewart should be tried for treason. That sounds ridiculous, but it's the same principle.
