Am I the only one who apparently liked Quina?

Quina is my favorite character in any Final Fantasy game. There. I admitted it!

When I first played the game, I really didn't think much of him / her. Sure, s/he is a bit of an oddball, but really gave a lot of fun relief to the main story. I loved having Quina in my party just to observe his / her reaction to the main villians.

I also think Quina is somewhat under-appreciated as a combatant. Given his / her ability to use Blue Magic, coupled with a decent physical attack power, s/he sort of fulfills the "Red Mage" role of the game. Some of the abilities available to Quina are quite useful, too. i.e., Mighty Gaurd, Frog Drop, Limit Glove and White Wind. Frog Drop becomes one of the more powerful abilities in the game if you actually invest enough time into frog-catching.

So, why does Quina always get a bad rap?
