    Default Any Suggestions?

I almost never use IE and had XP Home SP1. I had Windows Updates turned off and never updated manually. Then for some dumb reason I did a Windows Update on everything, including SP2. Now I'm having nothing but lag, lag, and more lag with Firefox. IE is somewhat quicker, but not much. There are also other little things like being able to edit my posts. I can't seem to do it anymore. Does anyone have any suggestion of what I can do other than REFORMAT? I guess it's time anyway, but I really don't have the time to be doing that.

Before reinstalling XP, you could try reinstalling Firefox. For the post editing, since it relies on AJAX, it's probably due to javascript execution being blocked. Check the security settings in IE to allow it to run javascript.

    And then there is Death

Thanks, Endless. I tried all of that, but the only thing that worked was uninstalling SP2. Everything works fine again now.

    I didn't know you could uninstall SP2. I would've reformatted.

You can uninstall it if you originally installed XP SP1 and then installed the SP2 update on top of it.

If you installed Windows fresh from a SP2 disc, you can't uninstall it.
