I assume that these are monographs.......anyone have any insight as to whether or not these are worth the money?

What do they do?

Do the Behemoth King hunt (near the end of the game) first to get some much needed money for them.

They increase the drop rate of really rare loot for different species.

They're worth it if you are looking to get some armors and weapons at the bazaar.

Truly, they are worth buying immediately. They raise the amount of drops to a considerable degree, which in turn, effectively allows you to rake in more Gil.

18000 Gil may seem imposing at first, but you will earn much more than that in a relatively swift manner.

Monographs are worth getting as soon as possible. I see no point in waiting until the end of the game to getting them, as by then it makes more sense to just beat the game than to start gathering loot. Gathering loot is something that you should be doing throughout the game.

All of the grimoires are very expensive, but they pay themselves off by increasing the drop rates of loot and the rarity of the drops.
