About 7 years ago, James Cameron said he was considering a sequel to Titanic. It'd be set some time later, during the First World War, with Rose working as a nurse in an army hospital for some unknown reason. She's then re-united with Jack when he's brought in wounded, 'cause apparently he survived the sinking but was separated from her, and "their reunion scene will be the greatest moment in cinema history", or so said Mr Cameron.

It was a serious article in a reputable newspaper, so I'm guessing that Cameron simply came to his senses and abandoned the idea.

This rumor has been floating about for years, While Titanic 1 was popular, it was very inaccurate. (The ship actually being 100 feet longer then in the film). The first bout of rumors had at first "claimed" it would be on the Olympic, one of the three Olympic sisters, and titanics older sister by a year. It is a daft idea, nothing more could be done for the dull forced romance plot and the Olympic had a pretty uneventful service besides sinking a U-Boat (Sucks for them.) What could be done? More remenising, it would bore the pants off everyone, a reunion is just retarded and wouldnt make any sence at all, besides Rose being long dead. I think the whole idea is just fanfad. The film wouldnt be anywhere near as popular if it was based in a hotel or something, it was RMS Titanic that made the film, now its 3 miles under the sea theres nothing more can be done.
