    Well, I don't know if anything can nullify water, but maybe one of the elemental shields might (maybe Flame Shields?). That said, just boost up your magic defense the best you can using Force equipment and so on, and use Zona Seeker or Mighty Guard for the MT-Shell effect. Leviathan is nasty with his MT-water elemental counterattacks, so make sure you're properly healed before attacking, and remember he's really weak to Thundaga.

    Edit: I just discovered that you'll take double the damage from water attacks with Flame Shields equipped. So, ignore that advice! xD

    I'd guess Ice shields if anything, water/ice are similar...

    By checking out the most amazing site on the web, you can find helps against water attacks.

    Absorb:
    Behemoth Suit, Cat Hood, Gaia Gear, Genji Armor, Genji Helmet, Genji Shield, Imp's Armor, Moogle Suit, Nutkin Suit, Snow Muffler, Tabby Suit, Titanium, Tortoise Shield

    No Damage:
    Paladin Shield

    Half Damage:
    Force Armor, Force Shield, Minerva

    After looking over the list, it looks like a party of imps could have a good time against Leviathan. :mog:

    Leviathan = dead.

    The Imp equipment seriously makes that fight a cakewalk.

    Make sure your party has more than 9000 HP Total and Focus Mostly on Healing. If your party has less than 9000 his 9 1,000 needle attacks will decimate you. He does that on death.

    Also, I believe Vanish will avoid his Crush attack. Not the needles, but at least you won't suffer from extra damage as its fixed.

    I'm going for Gilgamesh first as I'd like to levelgrind beforehand and boost everyone's speed. Gigantuar looks intimidating.
