Default AnimeTV - Anime Video Podcast

There's a VideoCast starting tonight, put on by BangZoom Entertainment (one of the bigger Dub companies). It'll be hosted by Johnny Bosch (2nd Black Ranger, voice of Vash the Stampede, etc) and will feature a sneak peek at the English dub of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Best Anime of 2006, coming soon on English DVD).

This will apparently be officially released on several platforms, including YouTube and iTunes. If you go to the site now, you can see a couple of silly commercials for it, featuring Johnny Bosch.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the dub for Suzumiya is going to sound like.

I hope this isn't too advertisey, I have no affiliation with this company. I know there are at least 2 other fans of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Best Anime of 2006, if I didn't mention it already) so I figured I would just broadcast it across the hoi polloi.

Why is it called a podcast? Isn't it just regular streaming video, just in poor quality?

I'm not sure why it's called a 'Podcast', but I assume it has something to do with the fact that it's going to be on iTunes. Which is pretty popular with your average iPod user.

As for the quality, I can't say for sure. It'll be on YouTube as well, but as mentioned before it'll be on iTunes, and the site itself.

The 'commercials' they released should be a pretty good idea of the video quality.

Note that this is being produced by an anime company, not just a bunch of fans. It might not be complete crap.
