Inspired by Avarice-ness' post in this thread, I have invented the Final Fantasy Fashion Awards! Here you choose your favourite outfit in each of these categories

1. Coolest Outfit
2. Most Practical Outfit
3. Most Boring Outfit
4. Most Impractical Outfit
5. Best Formal Outfit*
6. Best Uniform**

*This is basically the outfits the characters wear on special occasions, like Celes' Opera dress, or Rinoa's dance dress etc. This includes the Songstress dress, because you only have to wear it in the concerts.

**Basically any uniform, from soldiers to SeeDs to Black Mages to anything worn by lots of random people.

So guys, post who you think is the best dressed in each of these categories, and post reasons for your choice. Happy posting!

I've only played 5 FF's and only 3 of those are latter generation
Coolest Outfit - Galbadian Soldier (doesn't need a reason - costume speaks for itself + )
Most Practical Outfit - Zell (uh I don't know what practical means * )
Most Boring Outfit - Zell's mom (nothing in FF8 looks boring but this is least adventurous)
Most Impractical Outfit - Edea (that thing behind her head?)
Best Formal Outfit* - SeeD uniform (*)
Best Uniform** - Galbadian Soldier (+)

You know, reasons for why you voted for certain outfits wouldn't hurt.

1. Coolest Outfit- Ashe (FFXII)
I really like her design. It's kind of a hardass-sexy hybrid. It was very complex and yet not overboard, and it has this sort of "white/red/gold theme" that makes her seem nice and regal.

2. Most Practical Outfit- Locke(FFVI)
What can I say, the guy has like a jacket and pants. What more does a thief need? He even rocks the bandana and keeps that hair out of his face.

3. Most Boring Outfit-Steiner(FFIX)
Don't get me wrong, I love Steiner and all, but knight armor is knight armor.

4. Most Impractical Outfit-Lulu(FFX)
Lulu's outfit is actually one of my favorites, but running around in it would be traumatic. But boy is it memorable. This was a toss-up between Lulu and Quistis for me, as both seem highly uncomfortable if not awesome anyway.

5. Best Formal Outfit-Cloud's Trannie Alter Ego (FFVII)
I hope this counts in this category Cloud gets his woman on and dawns the dress. What can I say, tis lovely.

6. Best Uniform-White Mages
The White Mage cloak and such is yummy to me. Goes well with the healing aspect and is very iconic.

1. Coolest Outfit- Setzer Gabbiani (amano design) just goddamn
2. Most Practical Outfit- Edgar and Cyan (amano design) armor would be useful, but not plate mail, their outfits give off the illusion of giving them flexibility in combat.
3. Most Boring Outfit- Aerith and Selphie, a sundress?! lord we're trying to save the world, not go on a Sunday afternoon picnic:rolleyes2
4. Most Impractical Outfit- See above
5. Best Formal Outfit- Celes' opera dress or Squall's formal wear from the dance.
6. Best Uniform The Judges

I've played FFVI-VIII, X, X-2, and currently playing XII, so my decisions are based on those games...

1. Coolest Outfit - Amano's Locke is really nice
2. Most Practical Outfit - ummm, Laguna? Sorry, can't really think of any right now
3. Most Boring Outfit - FF8 Cid (being the head of the Garden, there was a lot of potential for him to have an interesting outfit, I thought, and a sweater vest...isn't)
4. Most Impractical Outfit - tie between Vaan, Lulu, and Edgar (exposed chest for the first two, and just generally being a really noticeable and regal outfit for the third)
5. Best Formal Outfit - I really liked Rinoa's dress (if only it'd been a little bit longer ). Simple, yet elegant. Ashe's (SPOILER)funeral dress was pretty too.
6. Best Uniform - Turks

1. Coolest Outfit - Penelo (FFXII) (I'm in love with this outfit and think its cool)
2. Most Practical Outfit - Vayne (FFXII) (Usable in anything! )
3. Most Boring Outfit - Kuja (FFIX) (Yes and especially his trance form)
4. Most Impractical Outfit - Lulu (FFX) (Running around like normal people in this outfit....)
5. Best Formal Outfit - Cloud (FFVII) (You know why)
6. Best Uniform - Black Mage! (Cute!)

Coolest Outfit: I say Sephiroth, black and white goes well together with a long-ass sword.

Most Practical Outfit: Zell, he shows the spirit of a teen.

Most Boring Outfit: Kuja, a......thong. *coughnuffsaidcough*.

Most Impractical Outfit: Seymour. Not only does it expose his chest, it looks like a dress and we know Seymour is a trans in the English version(don't get me wrong, the Japanese voice actor gave him a very manly voice).

Best Formal Outfit: SeeD uniform hands down.

Best Uniform: Turks. Need more saying?

Coolest Outfit: Steiner's outfit. It rattles
Most Practical Outfit: Auron's outfit. Who else can carry their drink into battle
Most Boring Outfit: Garnet's Spandex. Its so bland...
Most Impractical Outfit: Steiner's. Its a suit of armour!
Best Formal Outfit*: Yuna's songstress. Its cute.
Best Uniform**: SeeD, the almost military like nature

[Rocket Edge]

1. Coolest Outfit: Sephiroth, no contest.
2. Most Practical Outfit: Squall
3. Most Boring Outfit: Cloud
4. Most Impractical Outfit: Rikku (X-2)
5. Best Formal Outfit: Rinoa's Dress
6. Best Uniform: SeeD outfit

Coolest outfit: Beatrix's, it's elegant and feminine, and looks pretty comfortable to move in as she fights.
Most practical outfit: I'm partial to Ingus's freelancer outfit. It's simple, yet it has some pieces of armour for protection.
Most boring outfit: FFI Black Belt's outfit. Practical for a martial artist, maybe, but oh so plain...
Most impractical outfit: I'm hesitating between Lulu's (if only because I'm... er... sharing some of her assets, and I've worn a corset before and I almost suffocated without even MOVING around) and X-2 Rikku's, too frilly and bright for a thief.
Best formal outfit: Celes's opera gown. 'Nuff said.
Best uniform: SeeD uniform, agreed.

Coolest Outfit: I like Squall's, four belt power!

Most Pratical: I dunno... Larsa?

Most Boring: Cyan's, just boring.

Most Impratical: Zidane's (You have a belly shirt, so to cover your stomach, you use... tape?) And, Kuja (Metal underwear and robe? Ugh!)

Best Formal: Celes's Gown

Best Uniform: SeeD, of course!
