My wife, who is from the Philippines told me that some of the backwards people(like Hillbillies in the United States) eat dog, but not the urban and rural folks. This is just what she told me, I'm not a witness to it.
But i can tell you one thing though. One time at home I wanted to use a bag of rice as a punching bag to condition my hands for Karate class and she freaked and tore into me big time. . Said it was Baaaaaaaad to hit rice like that.
