Mist?

I use mist to kill strong enemies
and I know that I can summon guardians or what they call them in X II by using the Mist.
Can I depend on Mist for the rest of the game or will it be useless?

PS: I'm in the very beginning - Balthier and Fran has just joined me and Fran has a Strong Mist.

all ranks of mist are equal depending on Rank (first mist will have the same power as another first mist of another character).

We call them Mist Quickenings or just Quickenings usually. Because Espers use Mist too.

Aye, in the beginning they help a lot. Try chaining them too!
