(Wii) No More Heroes interview: "More Violent than Manhunt 2"

I've only played a little bit of Killer 7, and I've played only a little bit more of the original Manhunt. Both were pretty darn graphic. Now the creator of Killer 7 is promising his next game on the Wii, "No More Heroes", to be 'as violent, or even more violent than Manhunt 2".

Should be interesting to see how this game turns out. It looks crazy already, from the little bit of it I've seen.

'Snatcher 2' is just a rumour at this point, though it is quite valid. 'Heroes' was leaked long before 'Project S' was, and there's been a video of it since July.

Im not too hot and bothered about graphic violence, Manhunt wasnt a great game because it was violent, it was a great game because the core gameplay kicked ass and it had a great story, for this, I eagerly await Manhunt 2.

When developers bang on about something as stupid as violence, you just know the game will suck.

There's a difference between hacking people to death with a lightsaber and shooting them in the face though. Everyone likes lightsabers~!

If it's ultraviolence done well, I'll definitely play it. Hopefully it won't be horribly graphic just for the sake of being nasty and not be backed up by some fun gameplay. He also mentioned he wanted to work on a 360 game, which excites me very much indeed.

I know a friend of mine who will like the violence, but I'm not sure if I want this game if that's the main thing about it.

Edit: Dear goodness gracious! The voice actor for the dude with the light-saber is more obnoxious than anything comprehendable by MAN! Thankfully, it's so obnoxious, it goes back into the realm of comprehendable so I could give you this detailed explanation.

The art direction seems pretty cool, but some motions seem somewhat clunky judging by the trailer. And some of the dialogue doesn't seem to make sense. But of course, it's not like the trailer completely represents the game. Judging by the photos, the game seems pretty cool. Hopefully, it will pull off the sword-fighting better than Red Steel did.
