    Default Tomb of Raithwall: ADVICE!!!

Ok, im really struggling at this part in the game, here are my character levels:
    Vaan- 16
    Basch-15
    Ashe-15
    Balthier-14
    Fran-14
    Pelelo-13
    Guest char ( Vossler)-18

So do i need to level up to fight the flying boss ( Garuda ), because he seems to always beat me.
Do i need a certain item or summin? Level my chars?
    Someone, please tell me!

try to get a little closer to vossler's level and it should be easier. I think I went *into* the sandsea area with about those levels xD

I'd say level 17/18 is a fair level to aim for, and I know it's stupid but it's worth noting just in case, are you making sure your characters aren't using melee attacks on him? He's flying so you need to use magic/ranged attacks.

Use the Eksir Berries on it too, it weakens it.

Thanks, but there's also another berry i think called Exro seed, anyone know how to get that?
Cause that helps defeat the boss, and BTW I'm around Vossler's level now, except for Pelelo cause i've given up on her...!!!

Vossler always uses this special attack which takes off quite a lot, but he always dies cause he just stands there

Those berries that grow on the Oasis where the Moogle is are the ones you have to use. You can beat Garuda without it though.

But I do recommend levelling up more, there's a Demon Wall inside that is much worse than the Garuda!

like several of my posts, just do like i do, beat the heck out of him with major quickening combo attacks. That should work.

    I done it, here's my char's levels:
    Vaan- 22
    Basch- 19
    Ashe- 19
    Balthier- 18
    Fran- 18 or 17 ( can't remember )
    Pelelo- 13

Well that's it, now I'm just struggling through the puzzling paths of the Tomb.

Best way to kill Garuda is too chain Quickening him. I hads Fran, Vaan and Basch do it and it killed it in one. The first death wall is proving very difficult though, i want to beat it as i want the demonsbane. Any tips on how to obliterate it.

I think you've gotta cast slow on it- watch out for it's blind attacks, and use your quickenings as well.
Personally, i haven't done this yet, so I'm gonna level up 5-8 levels, to fight it, and be in good form for giza plains.

Default Taking out Demon wall 1st time through

I beat the demon wall at lvl 17, although it took me a few tries.
    My basic strategy was this:
-Make sure battle speed is HIGH - the wall won't come any faster, so you'll get more turns in.
-Equip Fran with Bow and Fire arrows, Basch with whatever sword (I had the blood sword at this point)
-Enter the dungeon and cast berserk and both of them.
-Walk down and begin the battle with the demon wall.
-Cast oil on it (If he has reflect, reset and try again)
-Watch as Fran and Basch obliterate it (have party leader be the 3rd person - I think the wall always x-zones the leader) Fran was doing 800+ damage each blow.
-If you're getting close and it still has a ways to go, Basch and Fran should be snapping out of their berserks.
-Use their quickenings to finish it off.

In my opinion, Berserk is the most useful spell at this point - they just sit there and attack anyway, so why not give them Haste and a Strength buff?
