I've always imagined him/her/it as a female of sorts, but technically he/she/it's a Qu, like roto said.

Technically, Quina is a hermaphrodite. It's capable of changing sex depending on the location and avaliability of the opposite gender.

I refer to Quina as "he" most of the time.
Quina is just Quina.
