Vaan isn't a main character. If you don't choose to have him as a leader that is in your party.

Colored HP means they are harder for you based on your level. Yellow / Red HP would mean they are much harder, so green = easier (I guess)

No, Reddas does with his two swords. Rikku used twin blades too. Penelo's and Fran's ice quickening reminds me of Shiva's on X though
