Anyone tried lvl 99 Saurian?

So I was just looking at my guide last night and read the litte tidbit about the possibility of getting the Wild Saurian and a couple other monsters to lvl 99 by letting them eat the wolves nearby. Has any tried waiting around for this and then tried killing the result? I just thought it would be an interesting challenge in and of itself to try and even get it up to that level lol.

Not sure there are enough wolves around him to get him to level 99, and also unsure if his level resets when you leave 2 screens/zones away to respawn the wolves.

Also he always seemed random in his cannibalize. He would usually do it once per "time" I was in the screen, then no matter how many wolves were around him, it seemed random to get him to canni more of them.

ive actually fought some 99 lvl meanies...the first one was a red chocobo in the first area outside jahara ...it killed me!!! its choco-comet!!! wiped out my main party then i brought out my reserve only for them to be wiped out as well...others the mandrogas in the feywood, were the only ones ive killed since they killed one or two of my party and they just ran off, not stayin to see who died and who didnt...uhmm wild saurian...mantis pretty much everymonster who can use cannabalize or can double its lvl... =) ive them almost of all them but the chocobo Grrrr!!! omega ? hah much easier than the 99 lvl red chocobo!!!
