Balthier reminds me of some sort of Han Solo-meets-Liberace hybrid. This may be a good thing.

Balthier and Bashe are the coolest.
Along with Fran (dear GOD! Her voice is pure milk and honey) Balthier is my favourite character, even though I like the whole main cast (turns out you can get used to Vaan).
I think Balthier is a bit like a hybrid between James Bond (classy ladies' man) and Jack Sparrow (pirate who doesn't do anything that doesn't bring him benefit).
